After the 12th edition of the EuroGames, held in Barcelona, the biggest athletic event for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender, and all open-minded people in Europe will go on break for the period 2009-2010.

In these years, two global LGBT sports events will be held in Europe:
- 2009: Outgames Copenhagen (July 25 - August 2, 2009): www.copenhagen2009.org
- 2010: Gay Games Cologne (July 31 - August 7, 2010): http://www.games-cologne.de

Both of these events are organised by EGLSF members, so respecting our Statutes, and supporting our members, we encourage everyone to participate at the Outgames in 2009 and the Gay Games in 2010.

The organisers of the EuroGames 2011 and 2012 were elected at the 2009 Annual General Assembly of EGLSF: Rotterdam, the Netherlands will host the EuroGames 2011 and Budapest, Hungary the EuroGames 2012..
