Budapest 2012

After the biggest athletic event for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender, and all open-minded people in Europe went on break for the period 2009-2010 when two global LGBT sports events were held in Europe: in 2009 Outgames Copenhagen (July 25 - August 2, 2009) and in 2010 Gay Games Cologne (July 31 - August 7, 2010), the 13th edition of the EuroGames was held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands July 20 to 24, 2011.

The organiser of the 2012 EuroGames were elected at the 2009 Annual General Assembly of the European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation - EGLSF: Budapest, Hungary will host the 14th EuroGames 2012 between June 27 and July 1, 2012.

The Assembly also confirmed that in the support for the united global LGBT sports event (hopefully from 2018 onwards), there will be no EuroGames celebrated in the years 2013 when the Outgames Antwerp and in 2014 when the Gay Games Cleveland are organised.

In October 2011, the Call for the 15th EuroGames, to be held in 2015, has been published. The interested clubs need to submit their draft bids to EGLSF by the end of 2011.
